If so, please apply to join our team at Funders Concerned About AIDS!

About FCAA: Funders Concerned About AIDS (FCAA) is a philanthropy-serving organization (PSO) formed by a network of funders in 1987 to take bold actions and push philanthropy to respond to HIV and AIDS. FCAA’s mission is to inform, connect and support philanthropy to mobilize resources to end the global HIV pandemic and build the social, political, and economic commitments necessary to attain health, human rights, and justice for all.++As a global network of funders, FCAA welcomes diverse perspectives, facilitates open communication and debate, and promotes racial and gender equity and all human rights. FCAA’s 14-member Board of Directors are currently based in five countries: France, Kenya, the Netherlands, the UK, and the United States. FCAA currently lists more than 50 grantmaking institutions as members that collectively accounted for half of total HIV-related grantmaking in 2021. FCAA also works with many other philanthropy-serving organizations to inform, connect, and support philanthropy on intersecting issues. The funders that lead and participate in FCAA have extensive experience, perspective, and commitment in responding to pandemics and the consequences for marginalized and inadequately served populations. This is where we come from: It is what informs us, connects us, and motivates our collective energy and philanthropic advocacy.

Overview of the Position

The Senior Program Manager plays an essential role in developing programming for FCAA members; building connections between philanthropic donors working across multiple sectors, including HIV & AIDS, LGBTQ rights, and sexual and reproductive health; and mobilizing resources to support communities impacted by HIV and defend against anti-rights attacks. This position is funded by and part of the Kalavai Partnership, a cross-movement collaborative making visible long-standing movement relationships between sexual and reproductive health, HIV and LGBTIQ rights.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining trusting relationships with FCAA members and other aligned donors.
  • Organizing in-person and online member education and engagement programs in consultation with FCAA staff and Board, including FCAA’s 2025 Global Philanthropy Summit.
  • Collaborating with FCAA staff and Kalavai core partners (IPPF, GPP, AWID, and ILGA-World) to develop and implement cross-movement programs, communications, and resource mobilization campaigns.
  • Creating issue briefs and communication tools to show the connection between HIV & AIDS and other intersecting issues, such as sexual rights and health, human rights, and gender justice.
  • Advocating for policies, programs, and funding for civil society and key population groups impacted by HIV & AIDS.
  • Working closely with the Executive Director to represent FCAA at cross-movement events and meetings to mobilize resources for communities most impacted by HIV and anti-rights attacks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
